Safeguarding Policy Statement
"The Catholic Church in England and Wales is concerned with the lives, safety, wholeness and well-being of each individual person within God's purpose everywhere.
It seeks to safeguard the welfare of people of all ages who are involved in whatever capacity with the Church and its organisations.
As a Church community, we accept that it is the responsibility of all of us, ordained, professed, paid and voluntary members, to work together to prevent physical, sexual, emotional abuse or neglect of children, young people and adults at risk."
Diocesan Statement

Everyone in the Church has a responsibility to safeguard and promote the wellbeing of those who worship in our Church or who join us for any activity facilitated by Church members. When Church activities are organised well, with regard for the safety and wellbeing of all, we reduce the risk of avoidable harm to all participants and create spaces of true welcome in which relationships which are respectful and enriching can develop.
